Dr. Leo Lam
Principal
With decades of insights in industries such as Energy storage, SaaS, Cloud computing, CPG, AI, medical software, medical devices, and creative, Leo is uniquely positioned to assist companies that are either highly technology-driven or brand-driven on sales strategy, marketing, and fundraising. As a Founder of four companies and a non-profit, he is keenly aware of the difficulties founders face, from finding product market fit, to creating a narrative for the brand or services.
As an Angel investor, Leo has worked with well over 100 companies and has led many due diligence teams at SWAN Venture Fund, where he is a Partner, and Keiretsu Forum. He has assisted multiple companies in their fundraising from pre-seed rounds to follow-up Series B venture capital rounds. He has taken two businesses to exit.
Leo teaches and mentors at the Microsoft Accelerator, University of Washington CoMotion, and the Foster Business School at the University of Washington in Entrepreneurship.
Leo holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, and a Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate from the Foster School of Business. He was an award-winning Professor in Electrical Engineering at the UW.
